How long / when did Live Journal start publishing IP addresses along with user names on 'Comments'?

I have no problem with letting users know my IP address. After all, it is a form of protection for them.

However, I do object letting Tom, Dick and Mary (the general public), who have no need of that information, know my location.

That being said: landrews, I honestly don't know if that's the story the commenter is looking for. I'm guessing it is. How do I mark it as 'Found'?

Danny's old boyfriend comes to visit and Steve is jealous

Hi,

I am looking for a story where Danny and Steve are a relatively new couple. Danny's old boyfriend is visiting and Danny agrees to show him around, but Steve has to attend a meeting with the Governor to plan a party. Steve ends up stuck in the meeting while Danny and the old boyfriend hang out with Grace and the 5-0 gang at the beach. Steve gets jealous hearing about this over the phone. I don't think he has hung out with Grace much. Towards the end of the story, Kono calls Steve to tell him that Danny is in the ER. When Steve gets there, everyone is in the ER. Steve announces that he and Danny are going home together. I particularly remember that Max kept asking how that was different from before? Sorry for the hodge podge description.

Steve doesn't like who he used to be...

Hi All

Steve has amnesia, can't remember why. He sits around eating honey sandwiches and other unhealthy food, which he is really liking.  The only line I can remember is he says to Danny that he doesn't think he likes who he used to be as he didn't have any friends and thinks he was lonely and doesn't want to be that person again.  Or something similar. They get together in the end.

Vague I know. Any ideas?

Danny hurt in Physical Therapy

Hello everyone,

I've been searching through this comm for weeks now searching for this fic and can't seem to find it. I've also checked Ao3 and ff.net.

Anyways, Danny is in physical therapy for his knee or a leg injury. The PT trainer ends up taking Danny too far in his exercises and causes him a lot more pain and possibly damages the injury further.

I'm sure it's McDanno, but I'm not sure in what stage the relationship it is in. I know that Steve ends up talking to Chin and/or Kono about Danny's pain/injury. Steve takes care of Danny at his house and makes Danny go to his doctor after the PT trainer hurts him to get checked out. I think Grace also makes an appearance in the fic.

I'm pretty sure that this is part of a larger fic.

If anyone knows what fic this is, please help.

Does anyone remember the name of the story where Steve is a hotel/casino owner and he offers Danny and Rachel a ton of money so that he can spend 24 hours with Danny? They get together in the end. There's a sequel too but I don't know if it's finished. I know it's on AO3 but I can't find it.

I'm looking for a fic that had the team chasing a suspect through the jungle and he winds up pushing Danny off a cliff into the ocean. The team thinks he's dead. I know it's not much but that's all I can remember.

Hi,

I'm trying to find a story that I read a really long time ago. I had a good look through the tags that I thought it might be under but I couldn't see it.

I'm pretty sure Steve and Danny were kidnapped or taken hostage or something like that. The part that I really remember is that they were hanging by their wrists with Danny positioned behind Steve. There was an explosion and Steve protects Danny from it and Danny freaks out because of what Steve did. Steve gets pretty hurt due to it.

Hi! I'm looking for the christmas(or maybe thanksgiving) fic.

Danny had a plan to travel with Grace and Steve, but Danny didn't tell Steve about it.
So Steve called Lorrins for dinner. Danny saw the two, and dicided not to interrupt the date.
Grace cancelled the travel, then Danny was lonely.
So he was willing to replace the HPD daily job and got shot.

I'm not sure that Danny and Steve was a couple.
If you have any idea, please tell me about it!

I need help finding a story. Steve either calls or texts Danny a number and Danny starts guessing what it is. It ends with Danny realizing that Steve is outside his door and the number was the amount of time it took Danny to answer. I tried searching but haven't had any luck. Thanks.

Does anyone remember the series of stories that featured Steve as an experimental law enforcement android assigned to Five-0? He and Danny eventually get together (Steve has been trained in various sexual techniques). I remember there was one where he was going to be dismantled but Danny was able to stop it. It was a wonderful series.

All the search tools I can find are just based on the summary - normally which is limited in info.

There's a wealth of stories there (and some dross :P) but it's so hard to find anything specific?

Two different fics I think, not much to go on, first one I remember Danny had hurt his knee and Steve rigged a harness to use in bed to keep his knee raised. Second one Steve asked sub Danny to go out into the yard and cut a switch from tree, it was not about punishment but trust I think.

Second one found A Lesson Learned by Heffermonkey. Thank you.

Danny not being appreciated

Hi All! I am currently reading through the community archive a bit and found some inconclusive story searches that interest me.

The first is simply the story Gone Baby Gone by Blackdoggy1 which apparently features a Danny who feels unappreciated and used to be on ff.net. Does anyone have any idea if it can still be found somewhere?

The second story was simply a story search and might actually be Gone Baby Gone, but it could be a different story altogether. In it Danny gets disrespected and dismissed by different people. Presumably because he is haole or maybe simply because he isn't Steve. Journalists are unwilling to talk to him for statements and HPD and the Coastguard ignore his requests etc. It doesn't bother Danny but once they notice, it does bother his team. Chin and Kono notice that Danny gets mobbed while Steve is away and Danny has taken over temporarily. Once Steve is back they tell him.

Is this actually Gone Baby Gone or is it a different story? Does it ring any bells? Thanks!
